Recreation Assistant

Requirements
- CPR/AED/First Aid certified (or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire date).
- Must be age 16 years or older.
- Ability to work under stressful situations; ability to stay calm; have excellent problem‐solving skills.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen including THC & a criminal background check.
Job Duties
- Attend and participates in staff meetings.
- Assists with public relations duties such as preparing and distributing flyers, brochures, and recreation catalogs.
- Monitors the maintenance of equipment, supplies and facilities.
- Help the Parks and Recreation Manager oversee activities to ensure proper use and direction.
- Responsible for working with the Recreation team to provide comprehensive and diverse recreation programs. Help promote health and wellness as outlined on the approved recreation schedule.
- Provide clerical support, program registration, answer phones and maintain correspondence with other divisions or agencies; may respond to public inquiries about programs and development of the recreational program.

Schedule
- Part-Time 20 to 30 hours per week (Sunday through Saturday) may include evenings and weekends.
- Seasonal starting in June through August.
Rate of Pay
- $15.45 per hour.
